Keith Poliakoff obstructs Pop's Gun Range's FREE SPEECH!

BREAKING NEWS!!

We are posting this on here for those in our community that have been following what's going on with POP'S GUN RANGE and the TOWN OF SOUTHWEST RANCHES...

It seems as though there is a disagreement here between POP'S GUN RANGE and the TOWN OF SOUTHWEST RANCHES...

Just prior to the election, in an email dated October 2, 2012, where the Town attorney Keith Poliakoff is discussing Freedom of Speech issues with Sharon Glass' attorney saying essentially that because she was politically active, it wouldn't help her case with the gun range...

"I also wanted to make sure you saw your client's facebook posting, since, as we discussed, making this issue political will not benefit an amicable resolution of this matter."  -- Keith Poliakoff

The Facebook post in question simply states from Sharon Glass--
"I'm voting Holly.  Who is going to the debate on October 4th?"

See the image below:

Is he spying on people's facebook postings?  CREEPY!!  I wonder how much of our tax dollars go towards this stalker behavior??

What do you make of all this??

Our best assessment is that it appears that the Town Attorney, is infringing on Sharon's first amendment rights here and making this whole case against her property about who she votes for...

Why is the Town Attorney attacking people's FEDERALLY PROTECTED First Amendment rights??

We saw this with the No Prison signs people put up on their property... we have seen code enforcement going to people's homes telling them they have to take down their signs.  WHY???

I leave that for you to interpret...

Were the Florida State Farm Act CHANGES INITIATED by Town Attorney Keith Poliakoff??

DATELINE...

BREAKING NEWS... THIS HAS JUST BEEN FORWARDED TO US.

APPARENTLY, THE TOWN ATTORNEY HAS BEEN PRETTY BUSY.

ON FEBRUARY 15TH, 2013 THERE HAD BEEN SOME FEATHERS RUFFLED FROM THE COUNCIL WANTING TO GET THE TOWN EXEMPTED FROM THE FARM ACT SO TOWN CODE COULD COME IN "ENFORCE CODE" ON THOSE WHOSE PROPERTIES WOULD HAVE FALLEN UNDER THE FARM ACT DESIGNATION.
(DURING THE ELECTIONS, WE REMEMBER SOMEONE BLAMING THIS ON HOLLY, AND SAYING SHE WANTED TO TEAR PEOPLES BARNS DOWN, BUT SHE DOESN'T SEEM TO BE INVOLVED NOW DOES SHE?)

NEEDLESS TO SAY, THE MEETING TO DISCUSS THIS WITH THE BROWARD DELEGATION IN DAVIE DIDN'T GO VERY WELL.

THE TOWN COUNCIL THEN "DROPPED" THE ISSUE AND IN THE APRIL 2013 RANCHER EDITION, THE MAYOR SAID HE HEARD THE PEOPLE LOUD AND CLEAR THAT THEY DIDN'T WANT THE FARM ACT CHANGED.  SEE THE MAYORS ENTIRE STATEMENT BELOW.

"In a recent unanimous decision by the Town Council, the proposed Farm Bill will be rescinded due to resident's concerns and outcry of the community. The Council heard your voice and will continue to serve you with the greatest honor and respect."  -- SEE IMAGE BELOW

SHORTLY AFTER THE FEBRUARY MEETING, HOWEVER, KEITH POLIAKOFF POSTS THE FOLLOWING ON HIS FACEBOOK PAGE...

THIS WEEK, WE RECEIVE REPORTS ON APRIL 15TH THAT POLIAKOFF INITIATES WORDING CHANGES THROUGH REPRESENTATIVE KATIE EDWARDS.  THIS IS CONTRARY TO WHAT THE MAYOR HAD SAID ABOVE, WHO IS SUPPOSED TO BE THE BOSS??  AN ENTIRE LOOK AT THE CHANGES ARE ON THE FLORIDA HOUSE WEBSITE- HB 203.  TAKE NOTE OF THE LAST MINUTE CHANGES AND THE NATURE OF THEM.  THEY WERE PUSHED AFTER THIS HAS BEEN REVIEWED IN THE DIFFERENT COMMITTEES.

THIS CAN ONLY BE VIEWED AS ROGUE BEHAVIOR, THE LIKES OF WHICH WE HAVE NEVER SEEN IN ANY OTHER MUNICIPALITY.  FOR A TOWN ATTORNEY TO GO AGAINST THE WISHES OF THE PEOPLE AND COUNCIL THAT PAY HIS SALARY...  IT'S JUST COMPLETE HERESY TO TREAT THE PEOPLE WHO PAY THE BILLS IN SUCH A DISRESPECTFUL MANNER.

IF WE WISH TO STOP THIS FROM BEING ENACTED, OUR ONLY SHOT IS TO STOP IT IN THE SENATE.
CALL OUR STATE SENATORS...

HERE IS THE LIST OF THE BROWARD SENATORS:

     CHRIS SMITH    - (850) 487-5031
     JEREMY RING    - (850) 487-5029
     ELEANOR SOBEL  - (850) 487-5033
                MARIA SACHS    - (850) 487-5034
                OSCAR BRAYNON  - (850) 487-5036

WHAT DO YOU STAND TO LOSE IF YOU DON'T CALL?  JUST YOUR ABILITY TO BE ABLE TO HAVE YOUR FARM BE PROTECTED BY THE FARM ACT... NO BIG DEAL RIGHT??  THEN THE CODE ENFORCEMENT WILL COME IN...  IF THIS IS PASSED, ANYONE THAT BUILDS A BARN, FENCE, ETC THAT FORMERLY FELL UNDER THE FARM ACT WILL HAVE TO GET PERMITS ON EVERYTHING, AND MAY BE TOLD THEY HAVE TO TEAR DOWN ANYTHING THAT ISN'T TO CODE. IF THIS IS PASSED, ANYONE WITHOUT THE AG EXEMPTION ON THEIR PROPERTY WILL HAVE TO GO GET PERMITS FROM THE TOWN FOR ANY BARN, FENCE, ETC THEY WISH TO BUILD...  WE WONDER HOW MANY BARNS POLIAKOFF WILL TEAR DOWN WITH HIS NEW POWERS??

WHY WOULD THE TOWN ATTORNEY DO THIS?  THE BEST WE CAN ASSESS IS THAT IT BRINGS MORE FEES FOR HIS LAW FIRM, CAP AND MELLGREN PLANNING.  ALL OF WHICH SUPPORTED MAYOR NELSON FOR RE-ELECTION.

FOR THOSE INTERESTED IN ASKING FOR THE TOWN ATTORNEY'S RESIGNATION, THE NEXT TOWN MEETING IS ON APRIL 25TH AT 7PM.
